When she was a kid, she wanted to be a lawyer, a vet, a movie director and an astronaut! As a grown-up, she has so far been a physicist, a weather forecaster, a school teacher, a zoo-keeper and of course, a writer. Over forty of Yvonne’s children’s books have been published at a range of levels, covering all sorts of different topics. Her favourite subject to write about is animals, and she especially loves native Australian species. She hopes one day to be able to work in a wildlife rescue centre, but at the moment she is happy coping with her three crazy cats and one tame husband.
